This accommodation is a full flat in the basement, what is containe everything what you need. It is the same as at home. The owner is a friendly and lovely person. We arrived at night at about 11pm, after a disappointment with an other booking what was overbooked and we had to find any solution about 10pm. So we booked it for a maximum of one hour before of the arrival only. The owner wasn't at home she was in a birthday party somewhere in the city. When I called her and told the story about the miserable happening, she got dressed and took a taxi to serve us. Because she had not had a booking before, she had to change the bedsheets and had to make a fast cleaning. When she finished it she offered us some information about the area too. It was the best service that I got ever. I am really grateful for everything and happy to get to know her. The flat is big enough, the bed was comfortable, fresh and clean towels, every necessary thing in the bathroom, washing machine, hairdryer, shower gel etc. The kitchen is modern and well equipped it is ready if you want to cook something, with spiecies, oil, salt, sugar, coffee, etc. There was a useful tv with Google Chromecast, which we haven't tried, fast and useful wifi. It is not in the central, but it is a nice and quiet area with free parking and easy access. I am sure if I travel again to Iceland, I will book this accommodation. Thank you, Disa, for everything!

Rooms perfectly warm and cosy with thermostat controlled radiator. Kitchen brilliantly resourced, everything you could need. A kitchen and a bathroom on each of the two floors plus another of each on the third floor where there's a communal lounge. Kind, helpful owners who looked after our luggage after checkout as well as letting us take our towels swimming the same afternoon. Easy to use key box for check in if arriving after 6pm.

Throughout the check-in process, everything was extremely smooth and Disa was able to help us check in to the property even when she was out. There was a small mistake from my end as I had booked the wrong room type but this was also settled very easily with no stress in a friendly and agreeable way. The property itself is wonderful and very recently renovated and very tidy, it’s the perfect door into the real Rekajavik and you get a very warm and friendly hug like being at home, which is really what you want. Disa made the effort to even take us out to a concert to truly experience Icelandic culture. That was special and unique. Disa goes above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. So much so that when we returned to the capital we had booked a different property which was really below any reasonable standards I connected Disa straight away and was able to experience this wonderful property for a second time. Excellent property, excellent owner, excellent location.

We stayed in the Clubhouse. Stunning views, lovely kitchen to cook a delicious dinner. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The springs were magical and the restaurant (seafood soup!!) was delicious. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we had the northern lights on New Year’s Eve. Thank you for a wonderful visit. Trip of a lifetime!

Dieses familiengeführte Gästehaus erwartet Sie im ruhigen Viertel Thingholt in Reykjavik und liegt nur 450 m von der Einkaufsstraße Laugavegur entfernt. Die Lage war super. Es gab ein gutes Frühstück. Das Badezimmer wurde nur mit einem weiteren Zimmer geteilt. Zusätzlich gab es eine große und gut ausgestattete Küche, die ebenfalls nur mit einem Zimmer geteilt wurde. Es gab Möglichkeiten sein Gepäck auch schon vor dem Check-In oder nach dem Check-Out abzustellen.

Amazing location, close to many of Reykjavik's sights but in a quiet location. Close to restaurants and easy check in, and good communication with the staff.
