Everything was just great, the food, the staff, the rooms,…!!! The cows were so cute and you’re always allowed to cuddle them. Our stay there was just perfect and the location around myvatn is fantastic!

It was one of best guesthouses i have stayed in Iceland. Clean cozy rooms and friendly staff. Additonally Skútustadir was perfect. I have tried everything unique this farm had to offer. Geysir bread, geysir beer, smoked trout, burger, angelica tea. Everything from localy grown plants or livestock. Loved it. And last, but not least. They make the best Gelato I had outside Italy!!

Just one night stay but it was great: the place itself with big common kitchen, the room, the bathrooms, super helpful host, and...the location: nearby volcano, beautiful lake, cave with hot springs(the Game of Thrones) and the phenomental geothermal area...WOW :)

Upon arriving at the location we were told that the hostel was under construction on short notice so they upgraded us to one of their cottages. The staff were very helpful and we had an amazing stay. Even though the weather wasn’t the best that day we still had a stunning view over the lava field and the lake.
Set in Laugar, 18 km from Godafoss Waterfall, Narfastadir Guesthouse features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a bar and a shared lounge.

Comfortable twin room with own sink, shared bathroom, shared kitchen and breakfast provided. Very friendly helpful staff. We were thrilled with the gluten free breakfast they prepared for two of the family including pancakes, cinnamon rolls and bread. Although the accommodation looks like a scouting hut from outside, it feels modern inside. Great location close to main tourist sights. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved staying at Vogafjos Farm Resort, we had a nice room that looked like a cabin, full wood, very quiet. The restaurant face the lake and the surrounding countryside with huge windows and also has windows that look into the cowshed so you can actually look at the cows while dining, lovely!!!
