Breathtaking settings, mountains to one side and plains on the other. The family looking after the property were super helpful and even came to assist me in the late hours of the evening.

Bath room and kitcken are super clean. Recommend.

Bitra Guesthouse is a 40-minute drive from Reykjavík. Thingvellir National Park and Geysir are 50 km away. Northern Lights spotting is possible during winter. Super friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable rates (for Iceland!) Warm,clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast including Icelandic marriage cake which was delicious.
