We had an amazing stay with great food and extremely helpful and welcoming staff and can only recommend this place. We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in the area! We really regret that we only stayed for dinner on our last night, we should have eaten here every day, the food was just amazing!

Beautiful house in a lovely location. Everything about the house was excellent and the host even left us a loaf of fresh bread!. We were well impressed with all the facilities.

My first tatami and futon experience, which was the start of my love for this way of sleeping. My room was very well decorated, I had little experience back then, but now I can confidently state it really represents the traditional side of Japan. This place is run by a very kind family, which really made me feel like I'm at home. Every amenity I needed was available. Breakfasts are available, and those are feast for both your eyes and stomach. You can also try local sake here, I recommend giving it a try. This place is localised further from castle grounds and Higashi Chaya but in a really calm, and climactic neighbourhood, which more than makes up for it.

Authentic place. Very old building, full of rooms. Bathroom area was cold. Great hosts Great sake tasting with them. Recommended.
