The place was very conveniently located, within walking distance to Nishiki market and Metro stop. It was a large comfortable space for a family of four to stretch out and have as our home base to travel and explore Kyoto, so much better option than small hotel room. The host was so kind, and used google translate to help explain everything in the house. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very spacious. We ate out, so did not use the kitchen, but everything was available to cook yourself.

She went above and beyond—preparing delicious homemade breakfasts full of love and flavors of Japan, and giving us fantastic recommendations on places to visit, where to eat, and hidden gems only a local would know. We felt genuinely cared for, and that personal touch made all the difference. Out of all the places we stayed during our trip to Japan, this was by far the best.
