The staff is very kind and friendly and speaks very good English. The location is superb, very close to any point of interest in Takeo and extremely close to the public baths. The facilities are good and the value for money is great. Overall, this was my favourite stay in Japan so far, thank you

The owner runs the place alone, but he still went all the way to the airport to pick me up. Despite my very limited Japanese ability, we were able to communicate quite well.. But the most important thing was he helped me rent a small scooter that I surely would not be able to rent without a local person vouching for me. This made my Amami trip really unforgettable and I'm forever grateful for the help I have received here! Also the evening of tasting local shōchū and stargazing was amazing. I will be back!

The manga/anime vibe was awesome. The owner Tosi is a really cool and nice guy, I enjoyed the evenings, sitting in the living room with him and other travelers a lot!

This is a beautiful traditional (restored) Japanese house. Exceptionally spacious and comfortable for two people. The balcony at first floor and patio area with sun loungers to the rear were nice for relaxing at breakfast time and in the afternoon sun after a day out to Mount Aso. The highlight however was the optional barbecue evening meal in the impressive annexe. The host couple were incredibly kind and helpful and the meal was out of this world. The annexe building also has some impressive TV/audio facilities. It was a very memorable stay and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We loved the character and style. The owners put a lot of love into making it special. It was very clean and comfortable as well. Although it was a little far from the centre area, the views were lovely and there were some interesting things to see and do nearby.

The location is perfect, close to the bus stop and train station. You can rent bikes for 500 yen per day, I rented a bike and it was very fun! Also the mood of the house is very good, everyone is nice and ready to help and satisfy any need. When I arrived it was soooo hot and the host invited me to go to the river with their friend it was very nice and fun! If you are interested in surfing this is definitely the perfect place!! They give you surfing lessons and the house is very close to a famous beach full of surfers. 10 minutes from aoshima island by bike, 10 minutes from Lawson kombini. :)
