Andy and the staff at Dark Horse are helpful and friendly. The accommodation feels so cozy, it's a home away from home. I stayed in the hostel room and it's very clean and comfortable. There is even a TV in my little space that I could watch Youtube and Netflix on. They provide free transport to Happo-one, Goryu and Sanosaka ski resorts. If you want to go to the other ski resorts, the staff can drop you at Happo Bus Terminal where you can catch the free shuttle bus. Free breakfast is also provided.

easy to find and close to Aeon mall where you could find anything you want as much as possible also matsumoto castle and nawate dori street. a little bit far from matsumoto station (20 min walk) even for the bus stop but from matsumoto station you can take bus 210 line to yakusojinja and walk only 4 min. about the facilities was perfect, the room was clean, wide, comfortable and beautiful for the window view room also the owner was very kind and polite. I wish i could go back to this place again and stay more than 1 night !

We really love this cosy place, once we stepped out of our room we were greeted with nice coffee aroma. it was relaxing to sit by the large window overlooking the mountains and snowfall. Great hospitality and really felt welcomed by the hosts. Room was warm and clean. Simple but spacious. Shower was good, hot water was consistent. Everything was perfect!

The property was in a nice location close enough to Iiyama Station. The hosts were some of the nicest people we have met and drove us to and from the station (6:30am!!). One of the comfiest places we have stayed and hope we can go back soon.

Couldn‘t have asked for a better guesthouse with a nicer owner than this one. Matsumoto Castle is a 5-10 minute walk away and there are a bunch of great restaurants and bars in the vicinity - And if you aren‘t sure where to go, Shotaro will be happy to recommend the best spots. He also introduced the guests to each other to really facilitate a friendly and almost family-like atmosphere.

Evertlything was very clean. Check-in and check-out process is quick and easy. Staff is very friendly and speaks english quite well, we had no trouble asking something, and we were given a great introduction to hotel's amenities. They have their own detailed map with recommendations for restaurants and tourist spots. Room itself is cosy and quite convenient for two people. They even provided a charger for the phone with two usb outlets. Japanese-style bed (which is a soft matress on the floor) was surprisingly very soft and we had no comfort issues with it. Location is great with quick access both to railway station and Matsumoto Castle.
