Even though it's a bit of a walk to the main gondola, the staff provided us with a ride every morning. Coming back home for the day it's only a few minutes from the slopes. The hosts were extremely kind and accomodating. They had wonderful recommendations and drove us to one of the onsen nearby. We shared a lovely home cooked dinner and breakfast and despite our lack of Japanese were able to have interesting conversations. Would highly recommend.
