A beautifully presented Japanese style house in a very convenient spot. We were given a very warm welcome by the owner on arrival and everything we needed to know for our stay was shared. The home was very quiet and well equipped - complimentary tea, coffee and spring water from the Matsumoto well just across the street. We enjoyed the views from the balcony over the river and beyond. It was great to have use of the kitchen and dining/sitting room. If you are reading this then don’t hesitate to book this accommodation.

We really love this cosy place, once we stepped out of our room we were greeted with nice coffee aroma. it was relaxing to sit by the large window overlooking the mountains and snowfall. Great hospitality and really felt welcomed by the hosts. Room was warm and clean. Simple but spacious. Shower was good, hot water was consistent. Everything was perfect!

The Guest House Japan in Hakuba is an amazing place to stay! The owners, Koji and Chikako, are incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is great - it's close to the ski slopes, restaurants, and shops. The breakfast was delicious, and the in-house baths were a great way to relax after a long day of skiing. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Hakuba.

The owner was amazing. He gave us recommendations for our visit, and was extremely generous with giving us rides here and there as well as making sure we didn't have to carry our luggage around all day even though we weren't going to be staying at his guesthouse another night. It was clean and cute and the breakfast was DIVINE (there was no coffee, so BYO if you need)
