The rooms were clean and spacious. It was comfortable with airco and renovated modern bathroom. You will be welcomed by a super lovely gentle Akita dog called Sun.
We participated in the morning ritual of Shingon Buddhism at the temple. The service is basically in Japanese but I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience even if you don't understand the language. They kindly explained the essence of Shingon teaching and how this temple stay was established. After the ritual, we had Buddhist breakfast together.
It is located in a small community with a view of rice fields and green mountains. If you wish to stay in a unique quiet place in Sado and to get in touch with the local people, this is the perfect place to stay.

Kota-San was very helpful and welcoming! He also spoke excellent English and really made an effort to communicate with me and my girlfriend. The guest house is very nice, a renovated former ryokan, so it is quite traditional. The amenities were great, the house really has everything you would need.
The location was perfect! It was really close to the Ogi port, so during Earth Celebration, It is very convenient.
Overall my stay here was wonderful. I will definitely be back.

Very cool looking hostel with relaxing vibe and great shared areas and facilities. Loved the beer flights from the bar and staff were friendly. A great location too being close to the beach. Bus stop is on the road outside.

Excepcional stay in a wonderful emplacement! Beautiful, spacious and comfortable room with a balcony and view on the sea. The owner was absolutely dedicated to fulfil our needs. Her son (a good cook) would prepare every night the fish that we caught during the day, in addition to the amazing meals that they serve on a regular basis. The ofuro also has a view on the sea! At night the surrounding are totally quiet: rice fields with the singing of the crickets. Thank you people at Nanauraso!
the newly renovated environment makes this “hostel”-like guest house unique and modern. it is two blocks away from the bay. the bus stops are a few minutes away.
