I had a very pleasant stay despite it was raining for two days straight. The lady who runs the hotel is also very helpful and kind towards a foreigner like me. Very recommended for people who would like to experience proper Japanese stays.

They treated us like family. They picked us up from the bus station, drove us to a wonderful dinner location (which they recommended), drove us to the ski resort, and helped with all our luggage. I was so happy to meet them and talk with them. The room is just as warm as the owners. The floors are heated and the beds are very comfortable. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Do yourself a favour and book dinner at the Pension. It is home cooked by the hosts, with local ingredients, made to your needs/likes. We wanted an authentic Japanese meal and it was exceptional. Better than the food at any restaurant we have been to. The hosts also have a Shiba, Momo who is adorable! This experience has been unforgettable and we have made new friends :)
