Before our departure, due to my own mistake, I had booked the arrival date for our first stop in Vientiane incorrectly, and it was an entirely non-changeable reservation. I tried to contact the hotel multiple times, but no one responded. I reached out to Sipanya Guesthouse to request their assistance in calling the Vientiane hotel to change our check-in date, and they readily agreed and helped us make the adjustment. Due to the challenging road conditions, it took us much longer than expected to drive there. We left at 11 in the morning and arrived at 8:30 in the evening. Sipanya Guesthouse patiently waited for our arrival. The rooms were very spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was a large terrace where we could enjoy our meals while taking in the scenery. The courtyard had plenty of parking space. It couldn't have been better. This was my second visit to the Plain of Jars, the last time being 13 years ago. If there's a next time, I will definitely stay at Sipanya Guesthouse for a few more days. I wholeheartedly recommend Sipanya Guesthouse to everyone.

Set in Muang Phônsavan, within 10 km of Plain of Jars: Site 1, The Hillside Residence is an accommodation offering garden views. This 2-star guest house offers a 24-hour front desk and a housekeeping service. The property offers bike hire and features a garden and sun terrace. The patron was absolutely marvellous! So friendly and always willing to help. The family succeeded to create a cosy atmosphere, bit like a living room at home. Great breakfast and great support to explore the area. We were lucky to celebrate Hmong new year, which was a surprise and a gift.

Kong and his family are the most welcoming hosts!!! The garden rooms are clean and beaitiful, its in a great location just behind the main road. Every night the family light a fire (in an old empty bombshell) in a shared outdoor kitchen for guests to sit around and mingle or relax. Cheap beers available, lots of good food options nearby. Can rent scooters from Kong to go out to jar sites. Such a great place and such a beautiful family. Will definitly return next time we're in Laos.

Very nice guesthouse in quiet area, restaurants etc in easy walking distance. Very friendly and helpful staff. The highlight sure were the two day tours with Mr. Souk. He is a top tour guide, speaks well english and is very knowledgeable about the area and its history. He is a very nice person to travel with and has a good sense of humor too. I had two great days with him and was very happy to invite him for dinner to express my thanks. Good memories will stay.

Kong and his family were great hosts. Our room was perfect for what we needed, clean and comfortable. The fire that we sat around each evening chatting to Kong and the other guests was a highlight. But the best part was the plain of jars your we went on with Kong, he was a great guide and it was an amazing day. Fully recommend !

Clean and comfortable, close to some restaurants and a bakery. The common space has a fire to chase away the chilly nights in Phonsavan, with beers available for purchase. Mr. Kong and his family are great hosts and Mr. Kong is also a great tour guide. His plain of jars tour is very informative!

Clean and spacious room, no frill hotel, comfortable and large bed, location is not really in the center of town but we love it! It was so quiet and beautiful. The host is wonderful , Bee Sipanya, provided us free shuttle to and from airport; he dropped us off to market and picked us up when we’re done. Do not forget to book the tour with this place, it was well worth it. We would recommend this place to friends and family.

We slept in one of these lovely little houses for one night, and it was the most quiet night of our trip. Everything was clean, nice, working, and comfy, which is already a lot for the price. But Kongkeo guesthouse is more than that, the owner, Kong, is an amazing host, always happy to help, chat, share. Such a nice person, and a nice family, who welcome you like one of them. It is also a nice place to meet and share with other travellers. Do not hesitate : BOOK !

Staff very helpful and accommodating. They helped book our transport and were able to meet our requests promptly. Rooms are clean and quiet. Drinking tea/coffee at veranda overlooking the farms a few metres away is an experience not many city hotels/guesthouses can offer here. The location is good and is a walk away from eating places.It has been a pleasant and relaxing experience staying in this guesthouse😊

Abay and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Very quiet location. The room had a comfortable bed wih a warm and cozy duvet. They organized a good and interesting trip. There is a free pick up from the bus station. Several restaurants are within walking distance of the guesthouse. We can highly recommend this place!
