Unlike anything I’ve seen before. Rooms and common areas are artfully decorated with trinkets from around the world. My room was overlooking the lake and it felt like I was living in the jungle, surrounded by plants. Bed was super comfy and the rain shower was great. The pool and view over the lake were incredible. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, we had plans to head out to Colombo but decided to stay and enjoy the property and had all our meals there. A personalised experience with great hosts, thanks for everything!

Absolutely wonderfull place. We arrived in Sri Lanka and this was our first tast of a hotel. Everything was perfect, from the room to the cool outdoor shower, the friendly staff and the garden where the excellent breakfast was served.

Location. It was quite surprising to see how quite surrounding was. Host was very informative and did everything to make my stay very comfortable. I really recommend this place whoever wants to have a quite night close to Colombo. Very easy accessible to Colombo.

Shalom Villa is a home away from home. Nilu and Iresh make you feel welcome right away and help you with all your travel needs. The guesthouse is away from the noisy and bustling center, but within easy reach using the PickMe App for inexpensive and fast transportation. Coffee and tea are always available and shops are in close vicinity. I also liked the stroll down to the river. With so much nature around one might forget to be still in Colombo. I am looking forward to coming back here and enjoy the hospitality. 🙂

Convenient to the center of Maharagama. Tuktuks and buses are also easy to use. The air conditioner is working so it's comfortable even on hot nights. The owner and staff are very friendly. On the first day, we were able to pick you up at the airport. Paid. Very reassuring.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We really liked this place - it is not far from the center and it is very quiet and private. The room has all the necessities you need for your stay - a comfy bed, working A/C, regrigerator and even a sofa. The bathroom even has a small fan to help drying the place. Usually there is no staff, but at least once a day there is someone around to ask you if you need water, cleaning the room or anything else. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés around the place and the sights are only a short tuk tuk ride away - and thanks to Uber, getting a ride is much easier these days ;-) Thank you for the 3 bottles of water we got each day and the fruit basket - that was a nice additional treat.
