Grand Colonial Viveka has the best view of Kurunegala lake and it's located closer to Kurunegala city centre. Hospitality is high end, food is delicious and staff is very friendly.
I felt like home with these beautiful people around.
Thank you Maureen (Manager) and Senerath (MD) for managing this beautiful place alive.
I'll definitely comeback when I visit Srilanka next time.

Excellent evening meal served on the veranda which overlooks the lake and has a cooling breeze. Our host served us a cheese Kottu for 2 for LKR 1500 which was very good value. There is a bar on site

warm-hearted host; well equipped room (used the third bed as additional space 🙂), even with fridge & power strip to charge devices; great Sri-Lankan breakfast; museum-like courtyard with Mr. Mangala's collection; very late check-out for a small extra fee before we started our trip to the airport; was our second stay after two years - and will come again!
