What an amazing stay. We had the room that was orientated to the east and every morning we could see the amazing sunrise. The balcony was spectacular, we really liked to have breakfast there. The room was big and very cute and tidy. We definitely recommend this place.

We stayed in the department for one night, the rooms are clean and large. Villa with a beautiful view. There is hot water. In the morning we were made a wonderful breakfast with fruit, omelet and local breakfasts. It was very tasty.

If you like the contact with the wild nature, this place will be for you. On our side we have been pleasantly surprised by the location even if it is very close to the Ella center. We have been able to walk to the center where there are a lot of restaurant for only 10 minutes. The couple who rent the rooms are very kind and they serve a breakfast completly homemade (even the jam). The breakfast is served on your own room terrace in front of the jungle (discreetly, through a hidden door)

10000/10!! Clean, spacious, modern, hot shower, great water pressure, hair dryer, nail clipper, mosquito net private entrance. Terrace, breakfast. You have your own little jungle. This is the best homestay in all of Sri Lanka for us. Hosts are beautiful people who do so much for you but respect your privacy also. They make you the best breakfast in the world. One day we stayed in the mountains hiking whole day and texted them that we don't need breakfast and they made us dinner. They are the best possible people, we loved them so much! I travelled to Ella with my wife for holiday. We found Grand Rock View to be a small, tranquil place with a great character. Our room with balcony offered us the views of the whole valley where the city of Ella is located, including the Ella Rock and the waterfalls. It was a pleasure to just sit there and watch the world go by in the evenings. The place was quiet, as it is located away from any main roads. However, the centre of Ella can be reached from there by a 5-minute walk on the nearby railway tracks (which is how people normally get around there). The host was great, helped us to orient ourselves for our hikes to the nearby hills and was bent to fulfil any of our wishes. He also recommended to us several interesting dining options in Ella. The breakfast at the resort was very good and enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay at Rock Grand View very much.
