Amazing place to stay with wonderful staff. Very friendly and willing to help with anything. Kitchen closes at 6pm (at least on the day we were there) but they made delicious dinner for us at 7:30 pm. We had a top floor room with stunning views and a very comfortable bed. Accommodation is next to the road so can be a bit noisy at night.

Staff are super nice. They waited for us until midnight for check-in and prepared a take-away breakfast for our morning safari. Room is clean.

Beautiful family. So kind and helpful. Susanto and Damiamti organised a driver to pick us up from Negombo and also to take us to Polonnaruwa after our stay. They also organised a fantastic safari and even made my husband's birthday special with cake and balloons. Nadita, their son was an amazing host, adept at English language and a delight, as was their gorgeous dog Tiny. Stunning location. The tank, a short walk away, is teeming with all kinds of birdlife. Lovely village.

I love how they took care of us, and catered to our every need. We were looking for a budget travel, and as far as budget travelling goes, it can't get any better than this. They are also really friendly and made sure we were very comfortable, considering I was travelling with my 7-month pregnant wife. Also, the owners are from the village itself, so staying here means you enrich the very community you are travelling to.

Riswan and his family are so hospitable and proud to introduce you to wonderful Sri Lankan food, traditional life and wildlife. A very peaceful setting next to the river and rice paddy fields. Monkeys played in the tree beside my treehouse, and I could watch fishermen patiently catch fish from my balcony. Everyone is so friendly. I took a nice walk to a wetland area just 15 mins walk and saw birds, monkeys and a mongoose. Riswan will arrange everything for you - meals, transport, food, safari, its all very easy, just let him know what you want. A very special thanks to "Auntie" for her amazing coffee, so no worries if you crave caffeine, strong, black, sweet and delicious.

Our stay in this guesthouse was simply lovely. Giida is a great, warm and friendly host - and a great cook! We had dinner twice and it was d.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s! We got hot coffee (even at 5:30 in the morning) and water and enjoyed the hammocks and the garden. The facilities are simple and functional and overall the guesthouse offers great value for money. Don't hesitate and book your stay here - it's amazing.
