Very quiet place. Located very close to the city. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. You can get bicycles for free. Our safari was organized by the hotel. It is very excellent. Our driver is very good. We saw all kinds of animals including leopards. We went on a full day safari. We had a wonderful breakfast and lunch. After the safari, we got a taxi from them to go to Mirissa. Very reasonable prices. They always try to provide the best service.

At the guest house, all units are equipped with bed linen and towels. Very friendly family. They arranged for us a good full day safari and transport to the next location. Very clean room and the pool was good.

Guests can eat in the on-site family-friendly restaurant, which is open for dinner, lunch, brunch and high tea. The room was great and the safari they organize is just perfect! Of course, you have to be lucky to see a leopard, but the experience is really great!

Super nice hosts! I had a warm welcome, amd they made sure that I'll see the most while I'm there. Room is comfortable and quiet. I even got a bonus breakfast which was very sweet. Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the guest house. My hosts couldn’t have made me feel any more welcome. They are kind and generous. As a single female traveller I felt very secure in their compound. I strongly advice you book your safari with your host. He’s a confident driver with a keen eye for leopards. Don’t think saving money will serve you well, take a private tour. The guest house is situated close to the park and near to the road the dissects the park. Take an evening safari on the road if you can. The accommodation is very clean. I found it hard to leave these lovely people.

The host organises every evening a free bird watching tour around the lake that is amazing!! They even packed us breakfast for us to take on the safari at 4:30am.

The property is located 1.9 km from Tissamaharama Raja Maha Vihara, 7.7 km from Ranminitenna Tele Cinema Village and 12 km from Kirinda Temple. The guest house offers pool views, an outdoor pool, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The air conditioner was cold, the water hot, the pool refreshing, the view spectacular, breakfast delicious and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Bundala Bird Sanctuary is 26 km from the guest house, while Situlpawwa is 39 km from the property. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 28 km away. Staying at Lake Face Cabana was the highlight during our trip to Sri Lanka. The atmosphere at the location is peaceful and serene, and the lake view is gorgeous. The cabanas were a perfect fit for the scenery, and have been designed and built by the hosts themselves. They are very skillfully made, and with great taste. Same goes with their garden, which added to the magical experience. The family could as well be professional designers! During our stay we were visited by water birds, squirrels, a monitor lizard and a turtle. We were told there is also a (well-behaving) resident crocodile, who unfortunately had other commitments while we were at the property. :) The main attraction though were our hosts: Gayan, Dilushika (sorry if the spelling is wrong!) and their two adorable girls. What a beautiful, sweet family! As we got to know them a little bit, we became inspired by their kindness, curiosity and thrive. The couple were very considerate and attentive to our needs, and were always available for interesting conversations about life in Sri Lanka. Dilushika's cooking was fantastic, the breakfast especially was delicious and well worth the cost! Oh and be sure to ask for the safaris directly from the accommodation. Gayan's brother runs the best safari outfit in the area, and we had two perfect days in Yala and Bundala. For our next visit to Tissamaharama, there's no other accommodation option than Lake Face Cabana. Couldn't recommend it more! <3

There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The guest house features family rooms. It was a very beautiful and peaceful place. Well located if you are visiting Yala national park. The place was very clean. We loved the common area. I would point out the hospitability of the hosts, Karen and Shanta were very attentive and lovely with us. 10/10 :)
