Breakfast was amazing. Freshly baked croissants! The town is quiet and away from the crowds. It is a 1 hr trip from the airport. The owner and staff are super friendly and amazing people.

This lovely villa is centrally located within the village of Poste de Flack, not far from the Indian Ocean (4-5 minutes by car). Shops and dining places in the village are within walking distance. The most beautiful beaches on the island - Belle Mare Public Beach and Palmar Public Beach - are within easy reach by car in 5-10 minutes. The location of the villa itself is suitable for touring the whole island, no need to book accommodation elsewhere. The apartment is clean, comfortable; it also has a fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms and balcony are above average in size, and the terrace has a wonderful view of the fantastic garden in bloom and colour. Most importantly, Jay, the host, makes your stay at Shanti Nivas Villa unforgettable with his kindness, absolute attentiveness, helpfulness and knowledge of Mauritius. Through him, you will gain an insight into the local customs, flora and fauna. In the mornings, she prepares her own juices from the delicious freshly squeezed local fruit, from her own garden and fresh, juicy fruit from the local market. During our stay there, he was at our disposal every minute of the day, this is accommodation we can recommend to anyone as a seasoned traveller. Loved the view from top apartment where we stayed. Close location to river mouth. Jean Claude went out of his way to accommodate our early check-in and was always available for any further questions. Pool was a welcoming refreshment.

It's like a mini resort. Perfect ending to our Mauritius stay. It was especially important to me to have a comfortable bed before we returned and it sure was. The air-conditioning works very well and their breakfast was delicious. The pool was the biggest treat. Jean Paul took us on the best boat trip we've had with amazing food, he also knows great spots for Snorkeling

Chez Henri was a great find! We booked last minute and they kindly were able to get a room made up for us. The photos don't really do it justice; it's a lovely unique home with beautiful features. The room is on the top floor and is light, airy and spacious, with a sofa and a little kitchen area so you don't have to drive somewhere for dinner. It's a nice area and the beach was blessedly quiet. In the morning I was able to walk there in a couple of minutes and have a lovely sunrise swim. Henri and his wife are very welcoming with a nice energy, and made us a perfect breakfast to enjoy on the terrace of their beautiful front garden. Max (lovely big hairy cuddly dog) was a highlight for me too 🥰
