We spent three nights here, and our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. The lodge is very cosy, clean and peaceful. The bathroom is modern and very spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and baking. The outdoor sitting area is great for having breakfast in the sun, and the whole surroundings are nice and well-maintained. Elsje was a great host and gave us tips for trips and hikes in the area, which was very helpful. When we at some point return to Sweden, we are sure to spend more time here:)

Offering free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking inn has a sauna. We loved everything about our stay from the interior decor to the hospitality, the hot showers and FANTASTIC food. Shared bathrooms not an issue either as always seemed to be available even when every room was being used. The staff at the property were clearly happy working there and their enthusiasm exuded to us guests. Can’t wait to come back and see you all. Location perfect too!

The room was nice, the beds were comfortable, and we had all the facilities we needed. Stephanie really went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Since we were here during one of the coldest weeks in decades (-31°C!), she placed a whole bunch of electric heaters throughout our rooms and made sure the wood stove was on to make it pleasantly warm and cozy. Since we were a little worried our car wouldn't start on our day of departure, she even made sure our car was able to stay warm enough during the night. We were really happy to have spent time here, and can wholeheartedly recommended it!

Set in Alsen, 49 km from Mid Sweden University, Wångens Wärdshus offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This 3-star inn offers a restaurant. The inn has a sauna, a shared kitchen and free WiFi throughout the property. Everything was exceptional. We walked to the property on the St. Olav trail. Needless to say, nature is beautiful around this property. The service and friendly staff. The AMAZING food buffet during breakfast, lunch and dinner was wonderful. The dining room had amazing vies and the outdoor seating also had beautiful views of the water. Very peaceful and tranquil. The views are heaven. The room was spacious and clean with a private bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. I immensely enjoyed the relaxing sauna. I immensely enjoyed staying at this property and look forward to returning soon.

Pensionat Svea is situated in Östersund, less than 1 km from Mid Sweden University, a 4-minute walk from Östersund Bus Station, as well as 600 metres from Östersund Train Station. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. I have been staying at Pensionat Svea many times. It's clean, very good breakfast, kind staff. It's old style but it corresponds to the price.
