Their breakfast was the best I have had in Turkey. They speak good English so they help you a lot. Definitely stay here when you come to Ayvalık.

The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests. Wow! Ionia Guest House is truly a hidden gem. It is located beside an olive grove in a rural area not far from Aydin. It was the perfect place to use as a launching pad to explore various ancient cities in the area (Ephesus,Kusadashi,Magnesium by the Maender,Miletus, Priene,Pamukkale). What was truly special about the Ionia Guest House however, were the hosts Jason and Shiree. It is obvious that this is their passion as their only goal was to see to, and attend to their guests’ every need. They were helpful, friendly, and wore their hearts on their sleeves. They went above and beyond in helping us sort out any problems we encountered and will always be thankful. The room was spacious and clean and the swimming pool was wonderful at the end of a hot day. Breakfast and dinner meals were fabulous with tasty food and big portions. They also had a laundry service for a very reasonable rate where they charged by the load and not by the item. The Ionian Guest House is a place we will always remember fondly.

Cem and his wife are wonderful hosts, making you easily feel comfortable and relaxed. The room is beautifully furnished, good bed. Nice place to sit outside, in sun or shade. Breakfast was great with home made marmelades, and lovely fried eggs and the Turkish specialities. Cem offers several suggestions for good food (great restaurant with Turkish kitchen in the village, and interesting places in direct or further environment. We planned to stay 2 days but decided to come back for a few more days on this special spot. The guesthouse is located in a beautiful environment: a little village looking over the former sea, in antique times, now totally sanded. From the guesthouse you can make visits to the most beautiful antique places in Western Turkey: Epheses, of course, but also beautiful Milete, on walking distance from the guesthouse: Priene, and also on less than an hour drive, several less well known but well kept secrets from antique times.

Very central location tucked away from the busy streets. Their staff Gül was super nice and made Turkish coffee for us to try, which really made us feel at home.
