Guest rooms will provide guests with a full kitchen. We had a great stay. The room is spacious & very clean. We were greated by the lovely cat Mia who loved to be petted. It's a bit far from the city centre but a 20 min. train ride gets you there for a very affordable price. Prior to arriving, the host sent me a message with several tips which helped a lot. Thank you for the pleasent stay Ricardo. If we ever visit New York again, we'll rebook this.

Located in New York, 1.5 km from Columbia University and 3.2 km from Metropolitan Museum of Art, Soul Food 'Mont Morris' provides accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. This 3-star guest house has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Central Park is 3.6 km away and Yankee Stadium is 4.4 km from the guest house. We loved the atmosphere of the place already from the entryway, which was decorated with huge Caladium plants. As soon as we stepped inside the house we were welcomed by a vibrant hallway with character. The stairs, floors, chandeliers, everything was screaming "THE New York experience" After making our way up the stairs we entered our room that felt like something out of a movie. We feel like whenever we try to describe the room, it never does it justice, but let us tell you this: We loved exploring the house as much as exploring NY. The whole guesthouse is filled with the host's art, which is a personal touch we adored. Since we were so in awe of the place, we've decided to meet our host. She was as welcoming as the house and has given us tips on where to go, what to see and how to enjoy NY as if we were locals. The place is in 5 min walking distance to metro station, Central Park and whole array of restaurants. Getting home late at night was also not an issue. We'd recommend this guesthouse to anyone who prefers an experience full of character over sterile hotel rooms.

For added privacy, the accommodation has a private entrance and soundproofing. An amazing space. Very well laid out, with excellent facilities. Ideal location with plenty of places to eat or to get bits nearby. The hosts couldn’t be any more helpful. They were fantastic.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. The property is non-smoking and is situated 4.1 km from Statue of Liberty. The property was immaculate. I couldn't ask for better facilities. It had a central cooling system, lots of pots to cook, large washing machine, tumble dryer, coffee machine.....just name it. To be honest I would say that it was very cheap for the quality we experienced! The owner, Tanisha, was also very helpful and tried to make our holiday as memorable as possible. She suggested places to visit and left guides to help us. All in all, I think rating this property 10 over 10 is a bit insulting, I would rate it 12 over 10 if possible!! My family and I (that is a family of 5) have travelled the world and I can comfortably say that this was the best property we've stayed in. We truly loved it. A big welldone to Tanisha.

We booked shared bathroom but our lovely landlord upgraded our room to private one for privacy, which was great. The location is 1-1.5 hr bus metro ride to manhattan. but i think it is acceptable in nyc. Coffee was great as well. The neighborhood felt really safe even at night. We used metro and busses at night and it was nice.
