We booked this flat at the last minute after our previous booking turned out to be poor and did not meet our expectations. The place turned out to be an excellent base in Ksamil. A modern flat in a recently completed building. There is a brilliant swimming pool in front of the building, available to all residents. Apart from minor details, such as the kitchen not being fully equipped and a leaking tap in the bathroom, the place turned out to be a very nice location to spend two days in Ksamil.

We were incredibly lucky to have this beautiful house, which consists of three charming apartments, all to ourselves. The location is absolutely stunning – peaceful, idyllic, and surrounded by nature, with breathtaking views that we never got tired of. There’s a small barbecue available, some clotheslines for drying laundry, and even fresh vegetables from the garden – such a thoughtful touch! In the evenings, cows and goats wander past the house, adding to the peaceful, rural atmosphere. Several lovely little beaches are nearby, and there are some great restaurants within walking distance. The owner was very friendly, relaxed, and easy to communicate with – we felt welcome from the very first moment. It was by far the best accommodation we had during our trip through Albania – we would come back in a heartbeat!

The place was great, clean and we loved that it was a bit further outside. We didnt use the pool much but it was a nice addition, Sonie and his family were super nice, despite our language barrier, they gave us everything we needed, even an extra blanket without asking, etc. Breakfasts were nice, all around good stay. Bring some earplugs since construction is happening near by. Loved out time here.

What did I like? Everything! This wasn’t just a place to lay your head at the end of the day. This was a unique and unforgettable experience. Bungalows are beautifully rustic with cozy lighting and lime, orange and olive trees right outside our windows. Peaceful environment and a positive vibe. I honestly can’t recommend The Mussel House enough. Not only were the accommodations perfect, the food and service (and the views) were incredible.
