We had an amazing stay at Casa Jolie. The house is spacious, spotless, and offers a breathtaking view of the ocean from the terrace and two balconies. It’s so comfortable that it was honestly hard to leave and explore the island. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were modern and well equipped. We also appreciated having a washing machine, dryer, and even a steam iron — all of which made our stay extra convenient. Self check-in and check-out were smooth and easy, making the arrival and departure stress-free. Gaspar was a wonderful host — welcoming and thoughtful. He greeted us with delicious local treats, including honey cake and fresh potato bread. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by banana plantations, which gives it a peaceful and authentic Madeiran feel. Parking is available directly at the property, and the location is ideal as a base to explore the island — whether you’re heading to the mountains, the coast, or nearby trails. One of the most beautiful and less crowded levada walks — Levada do Moinho and Levada Nova — starts just a 4-minute walk from the house. We’d definitely love to return and highly recommend Casa Jolie to anyone visiting Madeira.

The Villa was beautiful, outstanding views across the island. It was a large and spacious villa with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and always available for help or questions. We loved our time here and would totally recommend this to anyone coming to Madeira and would love to come back ourselves. I would recommend hiring a car as it would make the island much more accessible. You can however walk from the villa into the town and there are a few good bars and restaurants near the beach.

We had a fantastic stay at this villa surrounded by beautiful banana plantations. The peaceful setting and breathtaking views made it a truly relaxing getaway. The villa is extremely spacious and well-equipped, leaving nothing to be desired. A particularly convenient feature was the garage within the house. We felt very comfortable throughout our stay!

This place was really special. It was a traditional house located in a quiet rural location. As guests, we could use the entire property, including the pool and the garden with fruit trees. A terrace, a hammock and a grill were also available for relaxation. We really relaxed here and soaked up the wonderful atmosphere of the island. The host was warm, responded very quickly to our questions and helped us with everything. If I were to return to Madeira in the future, I would book the property again without hesitation.
