Perfect cosy place for two; I’d say fitting four in here might get a little cramped, especially if you’re going to leave 4 people’s luggage lying around randomly. Hot tub a nice feature. One commenter complained about not being able to use it in the rain, which, frankly, is weird. When you’re immersed in hot water, the rain can’t touch you. The hosts were extremely friendly, and, in my case, literally went that extra mile! Big thank you to Karl, Bess, and Stacey!

The property has inner courtyard views and is 47 km from CairnGorm National Park and 20 km from Aboyne Golf Club. The holiday home also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Fairdene Cottage was perfect. So adorable and comfortable. I was able to visit Balmoral and also the Ballater train station with a replica of Queen Victoria's train carriage. I loved everything about the cottage and its location.

Good size rooms, comfortable bed and great en-suite. Nothing really negative at all. Good range of appliances including coffee machine and air fryer. The location was central to the Cairngorms with great walks from the door and also within easy reach by car.
