We tremendously enjoyed staying at the Old Post Office, which is most likely the cleanest, the coziest and by far the best equipped holiday home we’ve ever stayed at.
We loved the tranquility and the remoteness very much indeed and we greatly enjoyed the garden and the exceptional view from the wee entrance room (where we actually spent most of the time because of the view). We do hope to come back some time. - Thanks you very much!

The place is marvelous itself. House is spacious and very convenient. Extremely well equipped, cozy. There was actually nothing we would not love there. Garden, where otter came through on its way to the sea. Elk came to say Hi. Seals nearby. And in the evening, fireplace with live fire and peaceful view over the bay. Fits well two families. Both having their own privacy, but plenty of space to share as well. All that in the heart of lovely Harris countryside. Simply one of the nicest and the most pleasant places we visited yet.

The location is gorgeous. The house is immaculate. All the colours in the rooms are in tune with the surroundings. The house has everything you need, and is really comfortable. It's really easy to use.we didn't worry about having our dog with us. Easy to keep clean and tidy. Really dog friendly.

Beautifully renovated house, bedrooms, utility room and bathroom downstairs all with plenty of space and the main bedroom with fabulous view out to the bay. Upstairs the kitchen and living room area again with view using a window the width of the room to maximise the effect and light. Velux roof windows too brought in lots of light. Simple stylish furnishings suited it perfectly. Kitchen well equipped with freezer downstairs in utility room, perfect for not disturbing the silence you experience when staying here. Bathroom has large shower cabinet with an excellent shower fitted. Modern heating too, electric thermostat radiators throughout, very cosy at night and in the morning. The enjoyment is a credit to the housekeeper who presented the house immaculately clean and as new on arrival. Location is superb, less than half mile from Tarbert and down a track from the road there is no sound of cars passing and the house is private with a great view over Urgha bay,its idyllic.
Excellent communication too from the owner who offers his number should you have any issues. We had a wonderful five nights in Harris and I cannot recommend this house enough, it’s wonderful.

Peace and quiet and sheep to watch
The house is bigger than it seems in the photos, although we were with only 2, it did not feel too big, because it is decorated very nicely.
