These charming cottages are purpose-built and have free Wi-Fi. Beautiful apartment in a very quiet location but with easy access to a major road. Exceptionally clean and well appointed. The wood-burner is a nice addition for the colder months, we used it just for the atmosphere even though it wasn't really cold. Ample on-site parking

This recently renovated holiday home is located 5.2 km from University of Edinburgh and 5.7 km from Royal Mile. The property is non-smoking and is located 5.7 km from Edinburgh Waverley station. The place was warm, cozy, spacious and it truly felt like home. Breakfast was excellent, the host was great with communication, and toiletries were thoughtfully provided. It was a great spot to relax and spend quality time with family ,a real home away from home.

Guests at the holiday home will be able to enjoy activities in and around Tomintoul, like cycling. The holiday home has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. I'm generally not a person that stays in small huts like this, but I was positively surprised by this one. It isn't the most spaceous, but it was great for the two days we stayed there, and if you're a more wilderness/camping kind of person, I definitely recommend it. The surroundings were lovely woods with some nice walking paths, that especially at night provided some great opportunities for star watching, and the hut itself has a nice little kitchen with everything you need (except maybe an oven, but if you do it right, you can definitely do without that), and a nice and clean shower, the beds were also very comfortable. Every hut also has a fire place outside, and the owners provide firewood upon request, if there is no fire ban at the moment, which can happen if it becomes too dry. I can definitely recommend this if you are looking fora little bit more adventurous stay!
