Situated in the UNESCO biosphere reserve of Madeira, Casas de Campo do Pomar B&B - Self Check-in is surrounded by an extensive tropical garden. The north of Madeira is more humid than the rest of the island. Esp. during the rainy season humidity is high also in the apartments. The beginning of the Madeira Levada walks start 6 km from the property. We stayed in a villa for one night. The location was perfect for exploring north Madeira, pretty town of Santana and morning hike to Pico Ruivo. We found the parking easily in front of the property. Our accommodation had a good size bedroom with the table and kitchenette. The bathroom was also a good size. Everything was very clean. From the bedroom we had an access to the private balcony with the beautiful view. The setting of the villa is stunning with the surrounding well maintained garden . Breakfast was served in the nearby dining room. It was simple but a good quality.

Set in Arco da Calheta, 23 km from Girao Cape, House Nobrega of Madeira has a private beach area, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 31 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools. The holiday park offers parking on-site, a rooftop pool and a housekeeping service. Cannot recommend House Nobrega highly enough. The accommodation itself was lovely, but it was the extras that put it over the top. Other than the weekend, they cleaned everyday (like a hotel), provided a small snack, gave us wine, and really made us feel welcome. The pool was gorgeous but too cold for us to use. Parking, as has been mentioned, was tricky but doable after a few tries. The location is so quiet and perfect for hikes. Overall such a fantastic, welcoming place to stay.
