Exceptional value for money, standing out head and shoulders above anything else we found in Costa Rica in this mid range price bracket. Contemporary comfort, style, security, wonderful service, delicious food, calm atmosphere, beautiful hammock strewn palm grove right on the ocean, with waves rolling in on your doorstep. the owner was accomodating :), we were the only people staying there so we had the shared patio to ourselves. it was close enough to everything. Just to be aware, the container means the room is literally inside of the "shipping container" which is a pretty cool concept if you are up for it ;)

Gonzalo is a really nice host who makes the best breakfast and always gives good tips on how to get around the area and what to do there. The Hostel is really nice in the middle of the jungle which makes staying there already half the experience.

We had an amazing stay at the Jungle Beach Bungalow with my brother. As said in many comments, the pictures do not do the place justice. The host, Andrew, is a chef so the house has a lot of kitchen ustensiles to cook elaborate meals, the two rooms are spacious and very confortable, the bathroom has hot water, and is super modern. It's really a stupendous little house where you will have a wonderful time if you go there. Also, Andrew is very helpful and caring and super reactive. He makes his possible to make your stay the best possible !

Nice and clean stay in the middle of the jungle. You’ll be sharing the house with host Alexandra – incredibly welcoming – cuddle-cat Michael, and possibly another guest. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide range of utensils, and the bedrooms have fans. One of the highlights is the bathroom, which is surrounded by glass, offering views of the lush greenery (with complete privacy, of course). The house is about a 15–20 minute bike ride from Puerto Viejo – walking isn’t really an option, but a tuk-tuk (around 4000 CRC) is! Drinking water is available. Board games (including Rummikub) are available too.
