Casa BB&Djassi felt like home - with big thanks to the ladies who take amazing care of the house and their guests, Talyna, Djenny and Ana. The rooms are comfortable, the location great and it was just a happy place to be. I’m not the only one who extended my stay while there! Communication was also excellent - with the team accommodating my request for good internet in my room, as well as providing multiple options to work across the house. I’ll definitely be back. Fernanda & Emmanuella and their staff were really kind warm and welcoming. They have a beautiful swimming pool with sunbeds around it to relax and enjoy the magnificent vibrant coloured flowers, shrubs and trees in the grounds. Extra towels were offered for us to lie outside on. Breakfast was outside in a covered area where little birds flew on and out. Lots of options with juice, fresh fruit, cold meat, cheese with bread rolls and cooked omelettes and various sweet and savoury treats. I expected not to be happy about sharing a bathroom but it was like we had our own bathroom as close as in a hotel and we never saw the people who we apparently shared it with. So don't be put off by the shared bathroom. We had about a 7 minute walk to have dinner out in local restaurant, Bellcantoo in Ribiera Grande. We were allowed to swim in the pool and sit around until well past checkout time as we had a taxi booked for 2pm. Wonderful hospitality.

THE RETREAT in Monte Joana provides accommodation with a garden and a bar. Boasting a housekeeping service, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace.
