Posada del Oso was a highlight of our trip to Cantábria. Of all the hotels and posadas we stayed, Posada del Oso was by far the best. The spot is beautiful with stunning views of the valley and mountains around. The room was spacious, decorated on wooden chalet style, the beds and linen were super comfortable, the bathroom stocked with everything you need including a little sponge to clean the shoes, a little touch that made the difference when I needed to clean my boots after the rain. The place is just stunning inside out and has a handy free parking onsite. You can easily reach Potes and other villages around. The staff was friendly and gave us great tips to what to do, where to eat and things to see. The breakfast was another highlight of the stay with everything homemade, traditionally Spanish and super delicious. We truly enjoyed our stay and will come back for a longer stay when back to Cantábria.

It’s a cute building in a quiet village with a great restaurant and a lovely outdoor pool (seasonal). It is family run and they are friendly, especially if you try to speak Spanish. We really enjoyed the very high quality food and local wine. The breakfast is simple with good coffee.

Hosteria Picos De Europa has beautiful views of the village of Potes and Peña Vieja, the highest mountain in Cantabria. It offers good-value accommodation with free Wi-Fi access.

This location is ideal to explore the Picos and is a the edge of the town making it very easy to explore Motorcycle parking right outside the door for convenience

Excellent location in a quiet village less then ten minutes drive from San Vicente de la Barquera. We enjoyed breakfast on the beautiful terrace. Very friendly and welcoming.

Nice comfortable stay in the middle of nowhere on my bike trip over the mountains. Gabriela was a wonderful host, very helpful in making sure my bicycle was safely stored, and preparing some great meals with local produce. The guesthouse has a lot of historical features and it is so important that accommodation is offered in such a remote area.

Easy key code check in. Requested early check in and it was not a problem. Messages and phone calls answered promptly. This hotel is ideally located spotlessly clean and very good value.
