The Rooms at the Apple Pie was perfectly located in the centre of Ambleside, an easy walk to all of the shops. Our room was an attic room - the ceiling definitely is a bit low for someone who is tall, but it was a great size and very comfortable, we had a great sleep. There was an honesty bar system for cokes and crisps among other things, but we had both breakfast and lunch (and an apple pie) from the delicious bakery and cafe next door. Highly recommend.

The hosts, Adie & Mandy are fantastic - so happy to share recommendations of places to visit, where to eat etc. Our room was very comfortable & had everything you could possibly need. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is truly amazing- such a great choice & everything is cooked to order, so perfectly fresh. The location is ideal as you’re just off the main road, so easy to walk to the shops & restaurants but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep Would have no hesitation in recommending Brantfell House if you’re looking to stay in Ambleside

Nice location, our room was large and the hideaway was a perfect spot of a mini get away. Enjoyed the breakfast each morning with the lake view. Staff was really lovely. Appreciated their green policy and took advantage of not taking housekeeping for a drink. Having parking onsite was a nice surprise although the parking spaces are tight but that’s understandable. Beautiful hydrangeas on the walk path up to the lakehouse.
