The hosts, Adie & Mandy are fantastic - so happy to share recommendations of places to visit, where to eat etc. Our room was very comfortable & had everything you could possibly need. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the breakfast is truly amazing- such a great choice & everything is cooked to order, so perfectly fresh. The location is ideal as you’re just off the main road, so easy to walk to the shops & restaurants but far enough away to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep Would have no hesitation in recommending Brantfell House if you’re looking to stay in Ambleside

Nice location, our room was large and the hideaway was a perfect spot of a mini get away. Enjoyed the breakfast each morning with the lake view. Staff was really lovely. Appreciated their green policy and took advantage of not taking housekeeping for a drink. Having parking onsite was a nice surprise although the parking spaces are tight but that’s understandable. Beautiful hydrangeas on the walk path up to the lakehouse.
