My wife and I stayed at Borthwnog Hall as part of our drive from Bath, around Wales, and to Oxford. It can be thought of as an adjunct to a country home, located in a beautiful site overlooking an estuary. Our room boasted a balcony, and the view was great. Housekeeping was excellent, the staff was helpful, breakfast was fine and parking was free. This is not, it should be said, a place to stay if you want to be able to walk to bars, clubs and restaurants. It's a country venue, after all. But there's a good pub/restaurant visible and accessible by bridge a short drive away, and the nice beach town of Barmouth isn't far.

Lovely cottage. Very nice owners who looked after us and we're very helpful. Great to have off street parking. So handy for Snowdonia and in the heart of the village with pups, restraunts nearby.
