I thank the host and his son for having kindly picked me up from the site of "Zigante Truffle Days" as it was difficult to arrange a taxi. The apartment, located in the heart of the historic district, was very beautifully and traditionally decorated, yet equipped with modern facilities.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of Groznjan. The hosts were so kind, they greeted me right when I arrived, helped me store my bike, waved at me when they saw me around town, and recommended a delicious spot for breakfast. The room was also clean, well stocked, and quiet. So much value for the very reasonable price.

This family owned property is perfectly located - in the middle of nature but still close enough to main roads. Renovated building, where we were staying, offers 4 nicely furnished appartments on first floor and a restaurant beneath them. Appartments are spacious, beds super comfy, wifi works well, view was amazing, everything was perfect. Breakfast was amazing too - all the food on the table was home made - from yogurt, sweet cherries, bread and marmelade to eggs and salami - and tastes were amazing. Even my daughter, who is quite picky, was delighted over the tastes of “grandmas kitchen”. Restaurant is always opened for property guests, on weekends also for others. We also had dinner one evening after a long hike and i still dream about their prosciutto, pork steak and potatoes :-) The property is huge, you can see cows and donkeys gazing arround on the pastures, they also have own chicken and pigs. The family is very nice and friendly (not to mention hardworking). Even their dog and three cats greeted us every time we came by :-) Staying at Agriturism Stara Stala was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to visit them again.

The room looked way cuter than in photographs. We had an outside patio connected to our room, which we loved. The location was great! The staff was so helpful and nice, although they didn't speak much english, they still did their best to communicate effectively with us:)

Lorena was a lovely host. Picked us up from the allotted carpark and delivered us back. Offered us a welcome local wine or beer. Very comfortable room with access to tea and coffee.
