The hotel was immaculately clean, comfortable, and well-located in a village within walking distance of Leh Market. The owner, Gonbo, was incredibly hospitable, from offering fresh mint tea when mint was harvested in the garden to making a bonfire at night. With many years of experience as a travel guide, he arranged our inner line permits and drivers and offered valuable advice about local places and food. The balcony from the room had a great view of the castle, Shanti Stupa, the garden, and the mountains. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay with wonderful people who took care of me and made me feels very welcome and safe. Very grateful for the opportunity to experience life through their eyes. The stay was amazing. The staff were really helpful during our mild AMS on our first day. The room was nice and clean and had a beautiful view outside. The place is about 750-800m away from Leh Market. We could walk from the property to the market easily. The owner helped us with renting a scooty, cab information etc. Recommended.

The tradition of pottery appealed to me. I wanted to see what material was used, what was the story of the father and his son potter. I got a lot of information as I was also able to ask all the questions I wanted and observe a participant making her first tea pot. I loved the rural setting, the traditional ladakhi house, the meals taken in the family room, the delicious homemade food and bread, the quiet night, the excellent bed.
