We had time crunch so we stayed only 1 day but we wish we could stay longer in this beautiful homestay.. the canal side nature beauty and the amenities in the homestay are top notch. Within 2 km of Munrothuruttu railway station this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!! The room was very clean and spacious with a lovely terrace area, table and seating. The large bed was the most comfortable we have had in India. Our host was very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and plentiful. Our sunrise canoe ride was magical, the highlight of our stay.

Fanstastic food, Very friendly service, we felt part of the family. Suresh went above and beyond to make sure we could enjoy our stay on the island. He took us by motorbike, organised a sunrise canoe ride, kayaks and bikes for us as well as a visit to a thread making factory and rickshaws to the train station. When my son left his wallet in the room he organised a courier to have it sent on to our next destination.

We like everything about Green Chromide homestay! The location was great, just in front of the backwaters. You can walk everywhere. The host was amazing, so helpful to reach the homestay by train or bus, depends on your own situation. Food very local, fresh and very tasty! The cabin is super new, comfortable and exceptionally clean. If you have a chance, please don’t miss this place!

I stayed for two nights at the Munroe Coconut Homestay and had an excellent time! The family is super hospitable and is making sure that you feel a 100% comfortable. Super delicious food, awesome boat ride and cozy room. Highly recommend this homestay!

This is the most beautiful place to stay in an unspoiled part of the backwaters. We really enjoyed just sitting on the terrace and looking out at the pretty garden and the colourful wild birds that visited. The early morning boat trip with Vishnu was serenely lovely - quite unmissable ! Pooni and Vishnu took great care of us and we enjoyed their company !
