I felt like I was at home Interior is dope if you're a fan with anime The living room was good experience which is really japanese style Overall everything was good Also the owner Tosi knows some stuff with traveling since he's been 72 countries He's gonna take care of where to go and let you know about the best onsen you shall have so far

It's about a 15 min walk to the nearest bus station but I loved how it was next to a park and a very quiet area. It's still a walkable location to Beppu Jigoku.

It's much better than the rating suggests. The room is cheap, fairly large, and very comfortable, and it's very well located in the city. The only bathroom is a bit rundown, but you get tickets to go to the onsen next door every day. There's a rooftop and a kitchen. I recommend it.

    The 100yen onsen opposite the homestay was excellent. I love it so so much. Owners very nice people. Rooms are huge. Big table in kitchen for chatting after a day out. Nice bed.

    Friendly owner speaks amazing English , this place is more like a guesthouse than a hostel, feels like you are staying with a home stay. The owner invited friends around and we had sushi.

    The host Tosi gives really good recommendations and is a great host! I especially like my stay there thanks to him and his enthousiasme! The hostel is also very social so you definitely meet people :)
