Great location, so close to the train station and Yamanote line. Super friendly guests and staff; with good recommendations. The private women only bathroom was quite nice. They kindly provided hairbrushes, q-tips, razors, and all soaps for the shower. Bunks were very large with ample shelving, could likely fit a carry on suitcase in them.

Stepping into Guesthouse toco felt like walking into a space untouched by time. It was so serene, so cosy, in a part of Japan that met the right balance of local and touristy. Lovely hospitality, and they had everything you need for a comfortable stay - kitchenware, clean bathrooms and cosy beds. They provide towels and bedsheets too :-) I had the most moving conversations over the dinner table with travellers from around the world. Guesthouse toco is the kind of place to attract that crowd - open and warm explorers with stories to trade over konbini dinner and green tea.
