This guesthouse was serene!! Located in a beautiful location, good driving distances to ski resorts. The place had a fantastic kitchen, superb sitting area, ski rack, bathrooms with onsen like tubs. Just stunning, would have loved to have stayed longer. Thank you so much for having us.

A home from home with beautiful Japanese style bedrooms. it was our first time sleeping in a futon style bed, I was cynical about how comfortable it would be but it really was the best nights sleep! the kitchen is very well equipped and the hosts are so lovely ! They are happy to run you to and from the station in their car which is about a 30 minute walk from the accommodation .

The owners Toshi and Yoshi were wonderful hosts and Yoshi cooked some of the best Japanese food that I have had on this mountain. They offer transfers to/from the ski fields each day which was much appreciated. Staying at the Madarao Elm is a great option for those who are looking for an authentic experience.
