Lovely guest house with incredibly friendly hostess! It is simple, yet love everything and every moment there! The lady who runs the guest house is extremely nice and helped me book the boat when my initial plan went wrong. I felt home and I also made good friends there. The airport and a supermarket are close by, just 5 minute walk. Free washing machine which is a plus after doing a hike. Will surely come back again!

An amazing place to stay for a vacation in Yakushima. The location is spectacular with a sea view, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The owners of the hotel are charming and help with everything we need, they helped us perfectly in preparing the visit to the island. Great location within walking distance of Miyanoura port. Traditional ryokan style house, sleeping on the floor with sliding doors and wooden floors. Beautiful room with views of the island. They offer vegetarian bento boxes which was ideal given the limited veggie options elsewhere on the island. Supermarket within walking distance and great kitchen facilities to cook for yourself, plus bus stop is within 10 mins walk.

Super friendly hosts. Early check-in was possible, and he even gave us a lift to the Shiratani Unsuikyo Hiking Trail because we didn't have a car. The view of the ocean is also stunning! (If you stay on Yakushima longer than one day, I do recommend renting a car because busses don't go everywhere, only once per hour I think and stop pretty early in the evening.)

I had a wonderful stay at this beautifully preserved 96-year-old Japanese-style house in Yakushima. The traditional atmosphere is incredibly charming, and you can truly feel the history and care that’s gone into maintaining the home. Everything was exceptionally clean and well-kept, making it both authentic and comfortable. Kimika was an amazing host—thoughtful, welcoming, and full of great energy. The decor in the house is very nice, and the view from the house is stunning as well. In the common room, Kimika also thoughtfully provided delicious local coffee and tea from Yakushima, which added an extra touch of warmth and hospitality. The kitchen also has everything you need. The house is very close to Isso beach, which is a great place to see the sunset. This is the perfect place to unwind and connect with the beauty of Yakushima, and also connect with the locals. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a unique and memorable experience on this magical island.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, he was very kind to let me leave my luggage there early in the morning before the check-in even though I contacted him with very short notice. The bedroom was perfect for one person, as was my case, but maybe a little tight for two. I had the lower bunk bed, and it was the most comfortable bed I've had in Japan. I could do my laundry for free, which was nice for a change. There was free coffee and delicious mikan in the kitchen, and I even got an orange as a goodbye on my way out. I would stay there again without a doubt.
