The host was very helpful and flexible with everything. The room with AC exceeded my expectations! The room without AC had a fan which was very nice. I stayed several nights and that’s the reason to that I stayed in different rooms. Overall my experience was very good and would come back!

I truly loved everything about this hotel. I had the chance to meet the host and his entire family. The host was so welcoming and kind. I was able to talk a lot with them, even as soon as I arrived, as we discussed the history of Sri Lanka. A bit of culture did me good, especially since I love learning new things. Moreover, the host and his family even let me taste some Sri Lankan specialties, especially for breakfast, and it was both fascinating and delicious! And all of this was offered for free. On top of that, the host took me on his scooter to buy new flip-flops since he knew a good store. He also took me to Cargills, to the beach, and many other places! It was an incredible and enriching experience, and you can tell it all came from the heart! Thank you so much for this experience—I highly recommend it, and I definitely plan to come back!

Perfect location, close to the beach and many surf spots, and far enough from the road so you can’t hear the noise. Comfortable beds, the room felt clean and fresh. AC was nice. Cozy garden. Methinda (the owner) is a very nice man who will tell you all about Sri Lanka over a cup of tea and some biscuits in the morning. He is new to business (therefore not many reviews) and will happily take feedback, whatever you wish he will try to fix for you. Really recommend!!

Awesome location - if you like to be in the center of a beach Town, with Access to all the cafes, shops and right AT the beach - this is the best. Still, pretty quiet, you hear no main street noise! The owner is very nice, always happy to help (e.g.brought us umbrella when it started raining heavily) and manages the property in a relaxed and efficient manner.

2 minute walk to Kabalana Beach (by far the nicest beach for miles. Huge bedroom and private bathroom. 2 x big comfy pillows per person. Very quiet and cold air conditioning. Also a ceiling fan if you prefer. Lovely kitchen with fridge freezer for ice and cold beers, fruit. Kitchen is shared obviously. Quiet location away from main road. Some lovely quiet cafes and restaurants literally 50 metres away also.
