Hemaka and the team at Liselma Residence could not have been more hospitable and helpful. This is truly was one of the most memorable and relaxing places I've ever stayed in. Perched on a hillside with commanding views across Kandy. Floor to ceiling windows filled our enormous room with natural light. Perhaps the largest and most comfortable bed I've slept in. The white walls, wooden floors and spaciousness all contribute to an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility. We felt special here. Thank you so much to Hemaka , Opisala and team. I could not recommend Liselma residence highly enough.

This was by far our best accommodation in Sri Lanka. The room was beautiful, clean, and bright, with brand-new facilities. From our room, we could enjoy both sunrise and sunset, and the rooftop offered an even more stunning view. The highlight was the owner and his incredible hospitality. He went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable stay. We had both breakfast and dinner here, and dinner was truly a special experience. He shared his unique way of preparing fried rice and gave us deeper insight into Sri Lankan culture and cuisine. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to stay here!

Villa Olde Ceylon is situated in a semi-urban area with the most beautiful natural surroundings.In this beautiful place I got three alternative rooms to make my choice and enjoy my independence.Although it is located in a semi-urban area I was able to witness a green and a calm surrounding. And the owner of this will is a very friendly person who can handle English, French and Italian languages.The delicious food that were prepared by them were typical Sri lankan and they had a unique recipe for that.It was a fine day.

Hands down the best guest house during the entire Sri Lanka trip and one of the best in my many years of solo travelling. Room - brand new, large, comfortable bed with very cozy wooden and modern decoration. Good lighting at all hours. WiFi worked perfectly- was having multiple video calls for work. Nice bathroom - plenty of hot water and most importantly has glass shields to separate from toilet. Location - can’t be any better! 3 mins walk to the best view point in Kandy, 10 mins walk to Kandy Lake. The best photos I took in Kandy were all from the terrace, being able to watch beautiful sunrise/sunset and the panoramic view of Kandy everyday. Services - the host family is superb. Homemade and nutritious breakfast every morning that introduces you to local Sri Lanken cuisine. They are extremely knowledgeable of the country in every aspect and give great tips for travelling. While always there to help, they have a lot of privacy to each guest .
