Amazing place. Peace and quiet, you can see a Buddhist stupa from the window. Wonderful cozy room with shower and toilet. On the second floor there is a very comfortable common lounge area for work or rest. Wonderful friendly owners. I highly recommend this place and I will gladly come back here!

My stay was wonderful. The hostess Shiranthi is so kind and welcoming. She really makes you feel like at home. She helped me with the internet, organized some food and had a sweet chat with me. I recently stayed at a room I rented for a few nights in Maharagama, Sri Lanka. While the location was outside Colombo, I found it to be incredibly peaceful away from the city hustle. The room itself was clean, simple, and excellent value for the price. What really stood out, though, was the landlord. He was exceptionally friendly and helpful, addressing all my queries and offering great tips about the area. The location is beautiful - in a leafy suburb of Colombo where the pace is gentle. The gardens are delightful and made such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The guesthouse itself is special - open pavilion-style lounge area with an indoor courtyard letting in natural light. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was delicious. There's a choice of western or local breakfast, and if you feel adventurous, the hosts explain ingredients, how to prepare and eat the breakfast. It's honestly so delicious. The hosts are friendly, kind and knowledgeable. It was easy to communicate and to come and go as you need. Restaurants nearby are walking distance for lunch / dinner. It's easy for tuktuks or taxis to get you there and away as you need with attractions like Barefoot very nearby. If you're travelling alone, it's perfect - you feel safe and comfortable to spend time alone or engage with hosts and other guests as you like.
