We really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, the place was friendly and we had a great time. Great communication between Sam’s place and us before we travelled ensuring all our needs were met when we arrived. Even though hotel is located by the Ella-Wellawaya road, the location is very calm. Construction wasn't done in some parts of the facility. But the available rooms were at good standard. Good value to your money.

A very comfy stay! Nice room that has my own entrance. Host and family made me feel so welcome. Highly recommended if you are passing through Wellawaya, which I highly recommend too.The area is beautiful and the Buduruwagala statue/carvings are gorgeous, one of the highlights of my trip.

The hosts take an enormous amount of care to make their guests are treated well and feel happy. On arrival we were greated with a pot of tea and advice about the area, where to eat and an offer to visit the famous cliff Buddha statues at Buduruwagala. Which are definitely worth the tuktuk trip. Water is always on tap. The Sri Lankan breakfast for 2 cooked by mama host would have been enough for 4. Wonderful! The place is a green oasis in the town centre. Even the shower water was cold from the hills towards Ella.

Everything was perfect about our stay! The rooms very huge, clean, bright, they had everything you needed (AC, fan, net, mini fridge) the bathroom was also very nice and clean and the view was amazing!! We also loved the location, its around 30 min on scooter (the owner helped us with renting a scooter) to Ella, which we did not mind as we hate loud and touristic places like Ella. This place was thus perfect for us to relax and unwind and hide from all the tourism and commercialization. The breakfast were perfect, so so delicious and fresh!! And the owner and the boys were all very kind, helpful and nice. They even made us dinner one day and booked a tuktuk for us on last day as we needed to catch early train to Kandy. Overall it was perfect stay and I would recommend it to everyone!

Breakfast was great. I wish they would have a buffet rather than restrcting the quantity of food one can have. Also this should be mentioned in the booking stage. Set menu with set quantity. Rest everything was great.

A lovely family run hotel in a great location in Ella. The rooms were spacious and comfortable! Staff were friendly and always helpful! The view from the balcony was out of this world. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend
