Axel the owner is one of the most caring and generous people I know. I dislocated my knee before coming here and from the start axel tremendously helped me out with everything I needed. Always checking up if I’m okay or if I need anything else. I cannot thank him enough. This place is very close to the airport, great for an overnight stay before your flight in the morning. There is also complementary tea and coffee which is a nice touch. If I am ever in Chetumal again, I will definitely will be back 😊

Wonderful views of the Laguna Bacalar! The owner, Horacio, is very helpful and informative - he even gave us a Lonely Planet of Yucatan for free. A walk from the town center, but fortunately there is a very good restaurant nearby the Amigos Hotelito. It is expensive for Mexican standards since - with its heavenly lagoon - Bacalar has become a highlight in Yucatan. The price is right for the location.

Viajero Bacalar has the perfect mix of comfort, great energy and stunning views. The hostel is beautifully renovated, the common areas are super chill, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Kamila is the best! Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the location is close to everything but still peaceful. A perfect spot to enjoy Bacalar. I’d definitely come back.

I loved this hostel and wish I could have stayed longer. I was nicely welcomed by Paola and I just felt good in this hostel after a long day of travelling coming from Belize. The decor and atmosphere is chilled, the rooms are very comfortable and clean with mosquitoes net. There is a great area to practise yoga. The ladies who did my checkout were so friendly as well, allowing to leave my stuff and my friend's stuff as well and to have a shower in the evening. They have dogs around and give them love. I'll be back

Victor was very kind and always available. It is a simple and essential dwelling. The AC is great as the mosquito net. The kitchen comes with all you may need including coffee, oil, and salt. The morning fresh fruits the household provides makes it even more pleasant.

Fantastic host, she made us feel at home. The place had a great vibe. You can find all you need here (a small kitchen, a fridge, a big common area, showers, sinks, a line to dry the clothes), the place is very close to a free swimming area and an inexpensive private swimming area
