First Tanya the owner is absolutely a wonderful lady helpful friendly. it was a joy to stay in her place. The room is a big size absolutely newiy renovated. there is a coffee machine with capsules and cups andl dishes and Cutlery, so if you want you can eat outside in a lovely area . there is also a microwave. Free parking on the premisis. The guest house is situated in a central place, very close to the center of the city of Horta. We highly recommend this this guest house.

Idìlia has welcomed us in her house. She's the kindest person on earth. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the house with the garden and an amazing view on the valley. She has a cute cat If you are looking for a relaxing place, this is it!! Recommended 10/10

Clean room with all the essentials. The receptionst didn't speak english however we could communicate perfectly through Google Translate. Also he let me use his phone to make a phone call to a car rental agency to sort things out. Exceptional service.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!

Alice's home was one of the best accommodations we had during our Azores holiday. The place is so clean, equipped with everything that you need, the room was comfortable and of course, the garden and view on Pico is unbeatable! We really enjoyed it here and highly recommend it...
