At the end of a four week trip around Europe this was our splurge. Fabulous hotel, friendly and helpful staff, sumptuous breakfast. Rooms are spacious and light filled with opening windows, bed linen was as soft as petals! So yum to curl up and sleep in. Cleaning service came each day which was a lovely bonus. We had an issue with a noisy street side room the first night however staff were quick to rectify this and moved us to a quieter one the next morning.

Rooms are clean, comfortable and appeared recently refurbished. Excellent breakfast offered with the bonus of a pianist playing each morning. These things would have been more than enough but the staff is where this place continued to excel, every person was genuinely friendly and helpful.

+ Dinner with Fado. I booked it in advance because I travelled during Easter holidays and was afraid that everything would be closed. So I didn't expect much. But that evening blew my mind in a good way. I heard about fado but I thought it supposed to be sad, emotional and passionate. I was wrong about sad part, I mean it could be full of joy as well, but I was right about passion. It was amazing. One of the best experiences - just go there, don't even hesitate. + Awesome location. + Beautiful hotel. + Very clean. (And I'm like Adrian Monk.) + Super comfortable beds. I felt rested, even if I only slept 4 hours. + Delicious breakfast with very pleasant live piano and violin music. Lovely.

At first I was hesitant with the idea of sharing bathroom with people... but there are actually a lot of bathrooms and there is ALWAYS one free for you to use. This is the NICEST staff I've ever encountered, really nice and helpful people. Their breakfast although simple, it was just amazing. This is the best croissant I've ever had. The location is also pretty convenient, close to the airport and easy to go to the center of the city. The view of the Sagres Campo Pequeno at night was a nice surprise (went during Christmastime). I think I was very lucky to pick this place out of the thousand others in Lisbon, would definitely stay there again!!
