The Hotel Föhrenhof is situated in a peaceful area on the edge of a forest in Farchant, just 3 km from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The sun terrace and garden offer a beautiful view of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein mountains. It was clean and comfortable. Hosts were very welcoming. The view was amazing. Good location, very close to the train station.

Breakfast is laid out in the morning outside the room for you to help yourself. With the tax you pay the owner gives you a travel pass to use in the area. We went on the cable car to Zugspitz which was wonderful and caught the bus just down the road. Had 2 meals at Dorfbrunnen hotel (which gives massive potions!) which is 5 minutes in the car (a bit too far to walk). Would highly recommend a stay here.

The kitchen has everything we need. The owner is so friendly. Nice breakfast and nice breakfast room.

Our rooms have private bathrooms, hairdryers and toiletries. The apartment was exceptional with the majestic view of Mountain Karwendel right from the balcony. We were on a short weekend trip to Mittenwald during Halloween and everything in the apartment was perfect. The trails to the lakes started just 100 meters from the apartment. We did not have a car but had no issues to reach the apartment since it is just 1.3kms up from the train station. The walk through the town and up to the apartment was beautiful.

The location is ideal for summer and longer stay (minimum 3 days) if you purchase the Z-Ticket. The owner/care-taker is very friendly and made sure that we enjoyed our stay.
