I was greeted by a very friendly host that made sure I felt welcome and taken care of - even though he didn't speak english. It's a pretty basic hostel with a well equipped kitchen, perfect if you need a place just to sleep for a couple of nights. The bed was comfortable and we even had a tv in the room. My husband and I could not be more grateful for the staff here at Hostal Tunquelen. They were so kind and friendly and went out of their way beyond our expectations to help us when we needed it. We felt like family staying here! The location was also a walking distance within the Valparaiso bus terminal, the beach, stations and buses and shops/market. Prime spot when staying at Valparaiso and the windows had a good view of the city.
