The breakfast was very nice, the backyard was very well decorated and calming. Our taxi driver from the train station called the guesthouse, so the owner came and picked up the luggage into the ancient city. Highly recommended . Thank you. The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Amazing location, right in the center of ancient town of Pingyao but still very quiet. The room is very beautiful, clean and there is all you need for a comfortable stay. Ji is amazing. I highly recommend a short or longer stay at the Ji Family Courtyard Inn.

Die Unterkunft 五福居 Five Blessings Hotel, die 1,4 km vom Zentrum in Datong und 900 m von Nine Dragon Screen entfernt gelegen ist, bietet klimatisierte Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit einer Veranda /... Oh my goodness! This was a treat :) it is in the old city walls where there is tons of shopping, eating and sightseeing. We were also easily able to book a tour that picked us up at the hotel for the big sites light the pagoda, hanging temple and grottos. We wanted an English guide so booked through another source, but the hotel would also arrange for a taxi service if you wanted. The city wall is just across the street and you can ride bikes up there and during the evening there are shops and bright decorations. The 9 dragging screen with the glasses tiles is also a short walk. Museums, pagodas, temples, quaint streets and busy markets are all within walking distance. It is a bit away from the new city center and the south railway station (where all high speed trains come in) … BUT they arrange for free transportation to and from the hotel. It was apparent at every step of the way that those working were eager to please and wanted the stay to be perfect. They upgraded our room free of charge when they saw we had two kids and only 1 bed. The larger room was available so they have it to us to make the nights more comfortable. They also provide a free breakfast each morning and the food was outstanding. They made it to order and over fed us each day. Laundry machine and detergent is available for use. The facilities are very newly updated and clean. We wished we could have stayed for longer.

Das Hotel ist einfach unglaublich schön. Es ist nicht leicht zu finden, aber es liegt perfekt und die Stadt hat deutlich mehr westliche Touristen verdient. In chinesischem Tempo wird auch die Altstadt weiter restauriert. Hier entsteht ein zweites Xian. In der Umgebung gibt es auch Unglaubliches zu besichtigen. Aber zum Hotel: einfach Wahnsinn, der Innenhof, das Zimmer.... zum verbleiben.

Highly recommended, value for money. Great location near to the main business street inside the ancient. family run mansion, Eshan was very helpful and share all relevant information needed for tourist. He also make arrangement for transportation from train station. Staffs were very helpful, always go beyond.

Eine Terrasse und Stadtblick bietet Ihnen das Xiangshengyuan Hostel in der zum UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe gehörende Stadt Pingyao in der Provinz Shanxi. This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.
